Opening our list is the Khaju Bridge in Isfahan, Iran. This amazing architectural art has 23 arches, its length is 105 meters and it was built in the 1650s by Shah Abbas II. The bridge also serves as a weir with gates under the arches. When the gates are closed, the water level is raised and irrigates the gardens near the Zayandeh River.
